This piece is highly captivating, not only for its internal visual splendor but also for its exterior body design, which showcases Charles’s characteristically distinct and beautiful glass craftsmanship. In creating this limited edition of only six pieces, Charles meticulously crafted and enclosed the exact same selection of object materials for each. Yet, remarkably, the six completed "Fiesta" scopes each reveal entirely different, individual expressions of brilliance. The reason behind this is the profound mystery that dwells within this artwork. Each glass object piece is individually melted and hand-sculpted by Charles in the flame. No matter how similarly he intends to shape them, there exist microscopic, near-imperceptible variations in their forms. Yet, when these infinitesimal differences pass through the mirror system, they manifest internally as an incredibly dramatic transformation of the imagery. For instance, this specific "3/6" scope, where the warm orange tones respond with exquisite beauty, unfolds a breathtakingly passionate and brilliantly burning world at certain moments.
