「夢見る前に」 (before you dream)若林 寛 (Hiroshi Wakabayashi) 偏光イメージで描かれる、幻想的な大型パーラースコープ（置き型）「夢見る前に」のご紹介です。 作品のデザイン中核を成すのは、まるで本物の蝋燭のように、点灯すると炎がゆらゆらと揺らめくLEDキャンドルライト。そして、その周囲を囲むのは、スクラップされた金属（コパー）が織りなす、まるで小さなスクラップヤードのような意匠です。 この意匠で何度かパーラースコープが入荷しておりますが、いずれもご紹介する前に完売してしまう、大変人気の高いシリーズです。毎回少しずつデザインが異なり、同じものは二度と制作されない、世界に一点だけの作品となります。 キャンドルライトを点灯せずとも、その静謐な世界を楽しむことができますが、ひとたび点灯すれば、炎の揺らめきが内部のイメージを温かみのあるオレンジ色に染め上げ、より一層幻想的な世界が広がります。今回は、ライト無しとライトアップ（flickers）、それぞれのイメージを掲載しておりますので、その違いもぜひご覧ください。 木の丸いノブ（round knob）を優しく回すと、先端のオイルチェンバーがボールベアリングによって滑らかに回転します。 偏光フィルターが生み出す薄手のオブジェクトが、まるでちぎり絵のモザイクのように折り重なり、グラフィカルで神秘的な光の幾何学模様を映し出します。 "Before You Dream" Hiroshi Wakabayashi We are pleased to introduce "Before You Dream," a large, tabletop parlor-scope kaleidoscope that creates spellbinding polarized light images. At the heart of its design is an LED candle light that flickers like a real flame, framed by a striking structure that evokes a copper scrapyard. While we have received parlor-scopes featuring this concept in the past, they are extraordinarily popular and often sell out before we can even introduce them. Each piece is individually crafted with subtle variations, making every single creation one-of-a-kind. This piece is a joy to view even without the light. When illuminated, however, the warm flicker of the flame bathes the interior patterns in rich orange tones, transforming the visual experience entirely. Photos showing both the unlit state and the illuminated flickering effect are available for comparison. Gently turning the round wooden knob smoothly rotates the tip's oil chamber on ball bearings.
